Update at 7 p.m. Wednesday: As a result of the ongoing investigation into the robbery of the K-S State Bank at 1101 Bluemont Avenue, the Riley County Police Department has obtained information to suggest that the suspect in this case may be driving a 2000 to 2005 4 door Cadillac DeVille. This vehicle is white in color and has dark handles with what appear to be stock rims and wheels. The vehicle also has dark tinted windows and was observed traveling away from the scene of this crime. WICHITA, Kan. (AP) An engineering firm is being brought in to determine if last week’s wayward landing of giant Boeing cargo plane damaged the Wichita runway. The Wichita Eagle reports the city’s Airport Authority is monitoring the condition of the runway at Jabara Airport after the Dreamlifter mistakenly landed at the airport last week. The Dreamlifter was supposed to land at McConnell Air Force Base. The modified 747 weighs about 600,000 pounds, or about 10 times the weight that Jabara’s runway is designed to handle. OTTAWA, Kan. (AP) Prosecutors have withdrawn subpoenas for business records of an eastern Kansas man accused of killing three adults and a toddler. The subpoenas were mentioned at a status hearing in Franklin County District Court on Tuesday for 28-year-old Kyle T. Flack, who is jailed on $10 million bond on charges of capital murder, first-degree murder, rape and criminal possession of a firearm. He’s accused of killing 30-year-old Andrew Adam Stout, 31-year-old Steven Eugene White, 21-year-old Kaylie Kathleen Bailey and Bailey’s 18-month-old daughter, Lana-Leigh earlier this year. An arrest was made in connection with the armed robbery case KMAN previously reported on, that occurred at Dara’s Conveinence Store on Claflin Road. Around 9 :00 Tuesday evening, Riley County Police arrested Travis Bowman (22), who is listed as homeless and is associated with the area of Manhattan. He was arrested for aggravated robbery and theft. He is currently confined at the Riley County Jail and is being held on a bond of $75,000. Fort Riley Public Affairs Officer, Major Martin O’Donnell, has confirmed that Special Agents from the U.S. Army Criminal Investigation Command, commonly referred to as CID (sid), are investigating an alleged incident that reportedly took place on post this past weekend. According to a CID spokesman, CID is working closely with local law enforcement and takes the allegations very seriously. Fort Riley officials are fully cooperating with the investigation. As earlier reported by KMAN, the centerpiece of this year’s “Festival of Lights” is going up for the first time. The crane began hoisting the 50 foot tree up Monday morning at Blue Earth Plaza, and the building of the tree has begun. Blue Earth Plaza is located just outside the Flint Hills Discovery Center at 3rd and Colorado here in Manhattan. A ceremony is planned Friday evening. WICHITA, Kan. (AP) A teenager and his biological mother have been charged in the shootings of the teen’s adoptive parents at the couple’s home near Wichita. Eighteen-year-old Anthony Bluml was charged Monday with first-degree murder in the death of Melissa Bluml, 53, in Valley Center. He’s also charged with attempted first-degree murder in the Nov. 15 shooting of Roger Bluml, who suffered a critical head wound. The teen is also charged with aggravated robbery, burglary and theft of items authorities say were taken from the home.
