Riley County Police say a motorcyclist is recovering after a Wednesday evening wreck near the intersection of Stony Brook Drive and Tuttle Cove Road. Officers found the motorcycle had left the road while navigating a curve just after 8 p.m., striking a Tuttle Creek State Park sign and landing in the grass. The driver, 30-year-old Dustin Powell, of Fort Riley, was transported to Via Christi for broken ribs and internal bleeding. Authorities are investigating an alleged aggravated assault in Ogden. According to the Riley County Police Department, three people were involved in an incident Wednesday morning in the 200 block of Seventh Street. A 23-year-old woman is accused of trying to stab a 23-year-old man and threatening a 19-year-old woman. The man is also accused of threatening the 23-year-old woman. No arrests were made and no further information has been provided. The case remains under further investigation.

The Manhattan Area Chamber of Commerce has promoted Marcia Rozell to the position of Director of the Manhattan Convention and Visitors Bureau. Rozell has been with the Chamber since 2008, working in a variety of roles with Visit Manhattan, including most recently as sports and leisure sales manager. Chamber President Jason Smith says after a nationwide search was launched in January, it became clear that Rozell was the best candidate for the job. All students at Ogden Elementary will eat for free next year after meeting the threshold to qualify for a Community Eligibility Program grant through the National School Lunch Act. The Manhattan-Ogden School Board gave final approval Wednesday to move forward with the guaranteed maximum price of approximately $9.1 million for renovations at 901 Poyntz Ave, the Manhattan High East campus building. The project is the final facility to be upgraded as part of the 2018 voter-approved school bond.
