Manhattan Area Technical College officially broke ground on the first of four phases as part of their ‘Building HIRE Education’ plan. The new Advanced Technology Center will replace the inadequate modular units that are currently in use on campus. MATC President Jim Genandt explained more about this brand new facility. This expansion will also allow younger students to have greater access to the school’s resources as well. Manhattan residents lined Poyntz Avenue on a brisk Friday morning for the return of the largest Veterans Day Parade in Kansas. The annual event got underway at 9:30 a.m., running down its traditional route from the Manhattan Town Center mall to City Hall.
