Las Vegas Raiders receiver Davante Adams has been charged with misdemeanor assault for shoving a photographer to the ground as he left the field following a loss at Kansas City. Kansas City, Missouri, police said Adams pushed Ryan Zebley to the ground while running off the field following the Raiders’ 30-29 loss to the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday night. Police called it an “intentional, overt act” that caused whiplash, a headache and a possible minor concussion. Charges were filed Wednesday morning in Municipal Court of Kansas City. Former Kansas State men’s basketball coach Bruce Weber will not return to the sideline this fall, instead turning his attention to analyzing games in a TV studio. Weber has signed on with the Big Ten Network for the soon-to-be started college basketball season, months after leaving his post at K-State. Weber coached the Wildcats for ten seasons, including winning two Big 12 titles, but left the bench following K-State’s elimination from the Big 12 Tournament earlier this spring.  The Cats finished 14-17 under Weber in 2021-22, their third straight losing season. That was Crisis Center Inc. Executive Director Kathy Ray officially announcing the opening of their new safe shelter. While the shelter was completed back in July, the announcement was made Tuesday at the center’s thank you reception inside the College Avenue United Methodist Church. The thank you reception was held to honor and recognize all of the partners and volunteers who made the project possible.
