From K-State Athletics Kansas State freshman guard Christianna Carr continues to receive accolades for her play last week, as she was named the United States Basketball Writers Association (USBWA) National Freshman of the Week on Tuesday. Carr is the first player in program history to earn the USBWA freshman of the week honor. Manhattan High wrestling took home a top 5 finish at the Newton Tournament of Champions this weekend. The Indians were led by Bubba Wilson who won the individual title at 160 pounds. Wilson is now 23-1 this year with his only loss coming to a nationally ranked opponent. He has now won tournaments in Newton, Grand Island, Nebraska and Dodge City this season.
