The conference schedule features a double round robin format for the seventh-consecutive year consisting of 18 games with squads playing each other twice. From K-State Athletics As the 2018 NFL season kicks off on Thursday night, 11 former Kansas State players made NFL rosters as organizations set their active rosters and practice squads following the mandatory cut down from 90 training camp players on Saturday. The longest-tenured former Wildcats include running back Darren Sproles and wide receiver Jordy Nelson. Sproles, a Pro Bowler in 2015, is going into his 14th season, including his fifth with the defending Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles. Jason Kipnis had been mired in such a batting slump that the Indians second baseman had resorted to watching old film of himself, trying to discover what had changed in the past couple years. From K-State Athletics Playing against Hawaii for the second straight day due to a weather-altered tournament schedule, K-State swept the Rainbow Wahine at the Stan Sheriff Center, 25-21, 27-25, 25-19, Sunday as the Wildcat defense recorded a dozen blocks and senior Kylee Zumach picked up a team-high 18 kills.
