Playing just its second ranked opponent in program history, Kansas State women’s soccer took the ninth-ranked Texas Longhorns into overtime on Sunday afternoon at the K-State Soccer Complex. The Longhorns would prevail with a goal in the 93rd minute for the 1-0 win. According to a release from K-State Athletics, Kansas State women’s basketball head coach Jeff Mittie announced on Thursday the dismissal of sophomore forward Eternati Willock from the 2017-18 roster. “Eternati struggled with many things associated with being a student-athlete,” stated Mittie. “While there were glimpses of improvement in her behavior, overall her continued violations of team rules and standards has led to her dismissal. We wish her the best going forward.” Willock was a unanimous selection for the 2017 Big 12 All-Freshman Team in her one season in Manhattan. The K-State volleyball team recorded its most digs in a three-set match since 2002 but was held to season lows in kills and hitting percentage by No. 23 Iowa State in a straight-set loss (12-25, 16-25, 25-27) Wednesday night at Hilton Coliseum.
