(Royals) – The Twins’ losing streak to the Royals finally came to an end on Wednesday night. Minnesota rallied late with two runs in the seventh to snap a seven-game skid against Kansas City with a 6-5 win at Target Field. After Kansas City saw four late leads evaporate on its last homestand, the relief corps once again slipped late as the Twins scored four runs to come from behind for the win. (K-State Sports) – FOX Sports Kansas City will televise at least 10 Kansas State men’s basketball games during the 2016-17 season, including the Wildcat Classic at the Sprint Center on December 10, the school and network announced today (September 7). In addition, the school announced the game times for its 10 non-conference home games. MINNEAPOLIS (AP) Kendrys Morales had two home runs, including a three-run blast in Kansas City’s seven-run ninth inning that propelled the Royals to a 10-3 victory over the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday night. Morales hit a two-run shot in the first inning to help the Royals overcome the loss of catcher Salvador Perez, who left the game with a right wrist contusion after he was hit by a pitch in the sixth inning. Dallas, TX (ESPN) – The Big 12 has narrowed its list of expansion candidates to at least 12 schools. The 12 schools are Air Force, BYU, UCF, Cincinnati, Colorado State, UConn, Houston, Rice, South Florida, SMU, Temple and Tulane. Eight of the candidates still alive in the Big 12’s expansion sweepstakes are members of the American Athletic Conference: UCF, Cincinnati, UConn, Houston, South Florida, SMU, Temple and Tulane.
