The Kansas City Chiefs and kicker Harrison Butker have agreed to a four-year, $25.6 million extension that includes $17.75 million guaranteed, on Monday. The deal makes Butker the highest paid kicker and the NFL and tied to the Chiefs through the 2028 season. He’s ahead of the Ravens’ Justin Tucker and Eagles’ Jake Elliott, who average $6 million per season. Butker confirmed in a post to X that he was finalizing a four-year extension. “There’s no place I’d rather be than with the Chiefs, excited to finalize a 4 year extension,” he wrote. “To the Heights!”

In the Finals, Omalla ran the first leg of the relay, with teammates Lieke Klaver, Isaya Klein Ikkink and Femke Bol, to a time of 3:07.43, three-tenths of a second ahead of team USA with a silver medal time of 3:07.74. Former K-State wide receiver Byron Pringle signed a one-year deal with the Washington Commanders Wednesday. Pringle, 30, appeared in all 17 games for Washington in 2023. He finished the year with 14 receptions for 161 yards. Pringle began his career as an undrafted free agent with the Chiefs in 2018 and won Super Bowl LIV with the club in 2019. His best season was in 2021 when he caught 42 passes for 568 yards with five touchdowns. This will be Pringle’s sixth season in the NFL.
