The 5-seed Indians beat Garden City in the semifinals 4-3, but would fall in the championship game to Maize 4-1. Manhattan ends its season with a record 17-7. Softball The 4-seed Rock Creek Mustangs punched their ticket to state Wednesday as they claimed another 4A regional championship. In the semifinals, Rock Creek defeated Ottawa by a 5-1 final. Later in the day, in a back-and-forth game, the Mustangs defeated Labette County 8-6. The two wins reach a special milestone for the Rock Creek seniors as they will play in the state tournament for the fourth time. Rock Creek is now 19-5 on the season.
