Currently the host of "KMAN's Morning News", Troy is a 30 year veteran of radio, nearly 20 in northern Colorado, where he served as the "Voice of the UNC Bears" while serving as the news and sports director for one of the oldest AM stations in the country. No stranger to Manhattan nor Kansas, Troy is an alum of K-State in broadcast journalism and grew up near Circleville. He began his broadcast career with KSDB-FM on campus while working part time at another radio station in town. He's married to the former Monica Haugsness of Seneca, who has patiently put up with his schedule for more than 25 years.

Will Howard directed three touchdown drives in just over one quarter of play as Kansas State opened up a 28-7 first half lead and rolled to their seventh win on the season, 59-25. Manhattan native and two time DII player of the year, Trevor Hudgins has signed with a team in France to continue his pro career. The Manhattan High School graduate and Northwest Missouri State product has signed with ‘Le Mans Sarthe’, a squad that plays in the French League and internationally in the Basketball Champions League. Hudgins, a two-time DII player of the year, previously spent time with the Houston Rockets and its G-League team at Rio Grand Valley, playing 28 games with the Vipers last season and averaging 20 points and more than six assists a game. The Big 12’s football scheduling plans for the next four seasons have the Sunflower Showdown set each year, but the remainder of the slate for K-State going foward will see the Cats playing every team in the conference at least twice during the period. Kansas State men’s basketball forward Nae’Qwan Tomlin bonded out of jail early Sunday morning after being arrested by Riley County police on charges of disorderly conduct and brawling/fighting. According to the Sunday RCPD Incident Report, Tomlin was arrested at Tubby’s Sports Bar, in the 1100 block of Moro. The incident report stated Tomlin was released on $750 bond. A senior, Tomlin returned to K-State after making himself eligible for the NBA Draft but later withdrawing. K-State’s blowout of TCU last Saturday allowed Wildcat coaches to pick over game film of their quarterbacks with a fine-toothed comb. As both Will Howard and Avery Johnson got multiple drives to lead the offense, the coaches got their best look at Johnson’s ability in game action, including making adjustments on the fly, says Coach Chris Klieman.
