AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Jalon Daniel hit Jared Casey on a scrambling pass for a 2-point conversion in overtime and Kansas stunned Texas 57-56 Saturday night to snap their eight-game losing streak this season and a 56-game losing streak in Big 12 road games over the past 13 years. Texas scored first in overtime and Kansas answered with Devin Neal’s 2-yard touchdown run. First-year coach Lance Leipold then immediately decided to go for Kansas’ first Big 12 road win since 2008. Texas started 4-1 under first-year coach Steve Sarkisian, but has now lost five in a row for the first time since 1956.
WACO, Texas (AP) — Gerry Bohanon threw a touchdown and ran for two more scores as 18th-ranked Baylor won 27-14 to end fourth-ranked Oklahoma’s FBS-best 17-game winning streak. Bears fans swarmed the field twice. They had gone on the field when they thought the game was over. But there had been a timeout and they swarmed it again after a game-ending field goal. Oklahoma was held to 260 total yards. It was the fewest for the Sooners under Lincoln Riley in his five seasons as head coach and two as offensive coordinator before that.
STILLWATER, Okla, (AP) — Jaylen Warren ran for three touchdowns to help No. 10 Oklahoma State rolled past TCU 63-17. The Cowboys won their third straight. Oklahoma State moved into a tie for first place in the conference with Oklahoma with two games remaining, including a showdown with the Sooners on November 27. TCU (4-6, 2-5) couldn’t carry the momentum from a stunning win over then-No. 14 Baylor the previous week.
LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) — Jonathan Garibay kicked a 62-yard field goal as time expired, lifting Texas Tech to a 41-38 victory over Iowa State after the Red Raiders squandered a 17-point lead in the second half. The Cyclones had pulled even on Andrew Mevis’ 29-yard kick with a minute remaining. Redshirt freshman Donovan Smith got Texas Tech just far enough for the win in his first career start. Garibay’s previous career long field goal was 48 yards.
