The fourth annual Early Expressions Art Gala was hosted at the Beach Museum on the Kansas State University campus this weekend.
On Saturday, there was a public reception where the students, their parents and supporters of art were able to view the pieces on display and also to bid on art during the silent auction.
Sunday includes a reception starting at 6:30 pm and running until 8:30 pm. During this time, there will be a presentation of the featured art by Lisa Lala, the live auction on Lala’s art piece and also the conclusion of the silent auction. All proceeds go to the Manhattan – Ogden Public Schools Foundation to help fund art programs in the schools.
There were over a hundred pieces of art on display.
Abby Gunderson, a 1st grader from Northview, was awarded an Early Expression Winner in the K-3rd division. Gunderson said she was happy to be there and to have her piece on display.
Aidin Manning, a 5th grader from Marlatt, and Tristyn Kurtenbach, a 2nd grader from Northview, also talked about the Gala.
