After a dramatic comeback from a five-run deficit last week, K-State baseball will look to sweep the season series from Wichita State on Tuesday night at Eck Stadium in Wichita. The Cats trailed the Shockers 6-1 going into the bottom of the 8th, but tied the score in the inning and won it in the 9th when Wichita State catcher Tyler Baker was charged with a passed ball. K-State coach Brad Hill says the Cats need to be more prepared against Wichita State.
K-State dropped the series opener 6-1 on Friday at Iowa, before closing the weekend with a pair of wins over the Hawkeyes, 11-4 and 5-3. The Cats are now 26-11 on the season, and are also 6-3 in the Big 12 with a weekend series at Oklahoma State looming. Meanwhile, Wichita State checks in at 21-16 after sweeping Bradley in Peoria, IL. The Shockers are 7-2 in the Missouri Valley Conference.
K-State and Wichita State will get underway Tuesday night at 6:30pm. Coverage will begin at 6:00 on SportsRadio 1350 KMAN with the BD4 Distributing pregame show with Brian Smoller and Matt Walters.
