More details were released Monday morning regarding a Saturday arrest involving Bomani Gordon, 19, of Manhattan. Gordon was arrested for failure to appear warrants stemming from original offenses of burlgary and minor in consumption of alcohol. Gordon was arrested near the intersection of College and Claflin at about 12:30 Saturday afternoon. His bond was set at $7,376.
Glinda Rae Van Kirk, 25, of Ogden was taken into custody by Riley County police for aggravated battery shortly before three Monday morning. The case is described as a possible domestic altercation. Van Kirk’s bond was set at $5,000.
And the Riley County Police Department announced Monday the arrest of Thomas Wilkinson, 23, of Manhattan on an extradition warrant from the State of Texas. This “no bond” warrant was served in the 1200 block of Moro Street in Manhattan at approximately 11:45 Friday morning. .
A 21-year-old Manhattan man remains hospitalized following a single vehicle motorcycle accident in Manhattan early Sunday morning. Jermaine Rhone was reportedly travelling west on Anderson Avenue near Sycamore Lane on his 2009 Ducati Motorcycle when he lost control due to excessive speed. Rhone was issued a citation for drag racing and was also transported to Mercy Regional Health center for a complaint of leg and ankle pain. A Mercy spokeswoman indicates Rhone remains a patient Monday. The accident was reported at 12:45 a.m.
A 1993 Toyota pickup was reported stolen from the 21-hundred block of Browning Avenue Sunday. Jeffrey Morris, 53, of Manhattan reported the theft. Total estimated loss is $5,000. The vehicle was unsecured at the time of the incident with the keys inside. Anyone with information regarding the missing red truck are encouraged to contact police.
Riley County Police responded to a complaint of aggravated burglary in the 500 block of Oakdale in Manhattan overnight Friday. Kathryn Hummel, 65, tells police several electronics, including a laptop and a tablet were taken from her home while it was occupied. There was also damage to a window screen. Estimated loss is about $1,800.
And Maggie Hudson. 23, of Lenexa reported to police a burglary to her vehicle in the 800 block of Vattier Street overnight Saturday. Items taken included a laptop, wallet, and identification cards, with an estimated loss of approximately $1,500.
