An amended complaint filed Tuesday in Riley County District Court lists 130 new charges against Bob’s Diner owner Robert Iacobellis.
Those charges, add another layer to the complicated criminal case building against Iacobellis, who was arrested Aug. 2 on one count of rape and two counts of aggravated indecent liberties. Each alleged case involves minors said to be between the ages of 10 and 15. Each of those incidents occurred between 2014 and 2018. The amended complaint will be made public by the district court clerk.
Iacobellis had been appointed Assistant Public Defender Phyl Yau to represent him, but a motion to withdraw was filed Monday, due to a conflict of interest. Judge William Malcolm appointed Manhattan attorneys Lora Ingels and Brenda Jordan as Iacobellis’ new counsel.
A status conference will take place at 1 p.m. Nov. 12 as the court will attempt to move forward on the case. Judge Malcolm informed the state if any new conflicts arise with either of his new appointed attorneys, the court may seek to find a public defender in the Third Judicial District in Topeka.
Iacobellis remains jailed on a $500,000 bond.

A Manhattan restaurant owner charged with sex crimes is due in court Tuesday for a status conference.
Robert Iacobellis at a September hearing was appointed Phyl Yau as his counsel. Iacobellis faces three charges including rape from a 2014 alleged incident and two counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child stemming from a pair of January 2018 alleged incidents. In all three instances the alleged crimes involved minors between the ages of 10 and 15.
Tuesday’s hearing is a continuance from Oct. 15. Iacobellis remains jailed on a $500,000 bond.
