Elizabeth Herrs of Rock Creek won her 2nd straight Kansas Relays title Friday in the High School Girls Javelin.
Very much like last year, the University of Oklahoma signee came into the event trailing in the state rankings behind Danni Plank of Gardner-Edgerton. However on her 1st throw, she eliminated any doubt who the best thrower was with a nationally ranked throw of 151-10.
Herrs won the event by over 12 feet, with Megan Williams of Valley Center finishing 2nd with a throw of 139-7 and Plank coming in 3rd with a toss of 135-11.
The throw currently places her 3rd in the nation this year behind only Harley Crowser of Glencoe, Ore. and Christine Streisel of Tamaqua, Penn.
