After gathering input from area leaders and athletic coaches in the month of December, group members involved with the Fieldhouse Project, a project to build a new sports facility in Manhattan, are pleased with the results of a survey.
Approximately 2,300 people took the survey and the majority noted that they would support the project with a combination of fees and taxes, which surprised Fieldhouse Project chair Gail Urban.
Urban says the project is currently a non-profit corporation in the early stages of applying with the IRS for 501C3 status and needs to raise $100,000 to hire Sport Facility Advisory Incorporated out of Florida to begin the next step in the process.
Anyone interested in joining the advisory group’s efforts can email Urban at gail.urban@cox.net.
