Lilla Porubek posted 15 kills as K-State defeated Saint Louis in four sets on Saturday afternoon, 25-19, 25-11, 20-25, 29-27 in Fayetteville, Ark. Porubek was named the Razorback Invitational MVP as she hit .394 against the Billikens and had eight digs. Courtney Traxson also made the all-tournament team with 14 kills, four digs, and four blocks. Kaitlynn Pelger added her fourth all-tournament honor of the season as she had 10 kills, a team-high 15 digs, and four blocks. Katie Brand came thru with 43 assists, and served six aces, the most by a K-State player in a four-set match since Liz Wegner had a half dozen against Arkansas on September 7th, 2001. Saint Louis (4-8) got a combined 33 kills from freshmen outside hitters Mallory Dillon and Danielle Rygelski.
K-State (11-1) now travels to Missouri State for a 1:00pm first serve on Sunday afternoon. Pregame from Springfield, MO will begin at 12:30 with Rob Voelker on NewsRadio 1350 KMAN.
