Kansas State senior safety Ty Zimmerman is one of 30 players nationally to be named a candidate for the Senior Class Award.
The Senior Class Award focuses on the total student athlete and encourages students to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities.
Zimmerman is the second wildcat is as many years up for the award as Collin Klein was a finalist in 2012. The 30 candidates will be narrowed down to 10 halfway through the regular season.
