The K-State volleyball team closed out the season with a three set sweep of then #25 Iowa State on Saturday night. On Monday, the Big 12 conference handed out postseason honors to a pair of Wildcats.
Senior middle blocker Kaitlynn Pelger became the second player in school history to be named first team all-Big 12 three years in a row. Pelger ends her K-State career, second in points, third in kills, seventh in aces, and eighth in blocks.
Wildcat setter Katie Brand was also pegged to the Big 12’s all-freshman team. Brand is the first Big 12 freshman to average more than 10 assists per set since 2010.
