Manhattan High pitcher Jesse Steinbring threw a seven inning perfect game to help the Indians sweep Topeka High 7-0 and 2-0 Friday at Hummer Sports Complex in Topeka.
Steinbring needed just 73 pitches in the 2-0 win in game two. He struck out nine Topeka High Trojans en route to the perfect game as well.
The Indians racked up 12 hits to get the seven runs in game one. They struck for two in the third and three in the fifth to blow the game open.
Catcher Alex Huerta led Manhattan with 3 RBI’s in the two wins.
