K-State senior men’s golfer Daniel Wood is the first Wildcat in four years to be selected to the NCAA Regionals. Wood tied for seventh at the Big 12 Championship earlier this month, and is one of 45 individuals nationally to earn a bid. He’ll tee it up next Thursday thru Saturday, May 15th to the 17th at the Columbia, Missouri regional. To make the NCAA National Championships in Hutchinson later this month, Wood would have to beat out all golfers not on one of five teams to qualify from the Columbia Regional.
Mitch Gregson and Joe Ida were the last two K-State golfers to play in regionals during the 2010 season.
