A KDOT employee was killed Thursday in a mowing accident.
Darren Way (39) was killed when his riding mower tipped over, trapping him underneath. He was mowing along I-70 in Sherman County when the accident occurred.
“We are saddened at the loss of our co-worker and offer our condolences to Darren’s family, friends and co-workers,” said Interim Transportation Secretary Richard Carlson. “They are in our thoughts and prayers as they cope with this tragedy.”
According to release from the Kansas Department of Transportation, Darren Way was an Equipment Operator working out the Goodland subarea office.
