A Manhattan man is in critical condition after being brutally beaten early Thursday morning.
Riley County Police discovered 31-year old Kevin Lynn Cockrum lying on the ground unconscious in an alley of the 1000 block of Moro Street. Riley County police say that Cockrum was beaten by unknown individuals.
Riley County EMS transported Cockrum to Mercy Regional Health Center with life-threatening head injuries. Cockrum was taken by LIFESTAR to Via Christi Hospital in Wichita where he remains in critical condition.
No suspects have been identified at this time but RCPD say that a white vehicle occupied by three black males was seen around the time of the attack. RCPD asks anyone who has information about the vehicle or the victim contact Detective Brek Jager at 537-2112.
