Dog deaths leave Leonardville man searching

0
By KMAN Staff on August 31, 2011 Local News

Two dogs are dead and a third missing in Leonardville in a case currently being investigated by the Riley County Police Department.  Dog owner Heath Romine tells KMAN that last Tuesday night his dogs were excited and barking, and later on that night one was found dragging its back legs, paralyzed. The paralyzed dog was euthanized the next day.

On Wednesday, Romine discovered another one of his dogs dead and stuffed into a trash bag in a ditch. Romine hopes to find the remaining dog, whether it is alive or dead, so that him and his family can bring it home.  The case is under investigation by the RCPD.
