A 64-year-old man reportedly lost more than $82,000 in a fraud scheme involving someone claiming to be from a bank.
Riley County Police filed the report at about 12:38 p.m. Monday in the 2000 block of Plymouth Road. Police listed the man and Flint Hills Dialysis as victims.
Police said an unknown suspect contacted the victim by text message and asked for money to clear up purported fraudulent payments.
The total estimated loss was $82,634.86.
