TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) A Shawnee County jury convicted a man from Ohio of shooting his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend to death in Topeka.
William D. Holt II, 26, of Sylvania, Ohio, was convicted Thursday of premeditated first-degree murder in the September 2010, shooting death of Mitch Vose, 32.
The Topeka Capital-Journal reports that prosecutors say Holt drove from Ohio to Topeka specifically to kill Vose.
District Court Judge Dave Debenham will sentence Holt on Nov. 4.
