    K-State women travel to Marist

By KMAN Staff on December 29, 2011 K-State Sports

The K-State women’s basketball team will play on Thursday night in the Empire State for the first time in over three decades.  The Cats take on traditional power Marist for their final non-conference game before Big 12 play begins next week.  K-State has never faced the Red Foxes, although Marist has travelled to Manhattan before, but didn’t meet the Wildcats in last year’s Commerce Bank Wildcat Classic.  K-State is 8-3, and is coming off a trip to Las Vegas with wins over North Dakota State and Northwestern, and a loss to UNLV.  The Red Foxes are 5-5.

The K-State women and Marist tip off on Thursday night at 6:00pm central time in Poughkeepsie.  Coverage begins at 5:30 from the K-State Sports Network on KMAN.
