    Pittsburg State wins D-II National Title

    Turning two blocked kicks into touchdowns, the Pittsburg State (Kan.) Gorillas outlasted Wayne State (Mich.) 35-21 on Saturday in the Division II National Championship Football Game at Florence, Alabama.

    Zac Dickey led the way for the Gorillas with 190 yards passing.  Pittsburg State won their second National Title in Division II with the other crown coming in 1991, the Gorillas had lost their three previous title game appearances.   Pittsburg State also won NAIA Championships in 1957 and 1961.
