    KDOT approves bids for Highway Construction

    KDOT has approved bids for state highway construction and maintenance projects in Kansas.  Local projects receiving funding include U.S. 24 from the east city limits of Wamego to the west city limits of St. Mary’s for sealing.  The project was projected to cost $360,978.16, and the contract was awarded to Vance Brothers, inc., out of Kansas City.

    A Riley County project to repair bridges has received the green light.  Mill Valley Construction Inc. our of Olathe will  receive $211,591.25 dollars to complete the construction.
