The 2012 K-State football team has extended its school record to 15 players nominated for postseason awards. Wildcat senior quarterback Collin Klein was named to the Manning Award watch list, which recognizes the nation’s top quarterbacks based on previous performance, but all signal callers remain eligible. Klein previously has been put up for the Maxwell and Davey O’ Brien awards. He helped lead the Wildcats to 10 wins and a berth in the Cotton Bowl this past season, accounting for 40 total touchdowns and over 3,000 yards of total offense. He is one of five quarterbacks in the Big 12 and25 nationally to be nominated for the Manning Award.
