    1.

    A Riley County police  burglary arrest has led to police looking for a victim.

    Police arrested 22-year-old Darraus Washington of Manhattan at around 03:00am Thursday morning around the 1900 block of Sunset Lane.  Police found a large amount of change, and a handgun that they believe were stolen overnight. 

    The Riley County Police Department is asking for assistance from area residents to check their homes and vehicles to see if they are missing a handgun or change jars, and if so to call RCPD at 785-537-2112.

    2.

    Riley county Police say extreme heat is suspected in an accident near the 5100 block of Wildcat Creek road.

    Police say 54-year-old Donald Davis is believed to have blacked out due to heat, and lost control of his Yamaha Vstar motorcycle.  Davis was taken to Mercy Regional Health Center for unknown injuries, but when officers arrived at the scene Davis was up and moving.

    3.

    A burglary at a local fraternity has resulted in the loss of a high value item.

    Sigma Phi Epsilon has reported the burglary to Riley County Police. The fraternity told police that a composite picture valued over 34-hundred dollars was taken sometime overnight on June 26th.

    Police are investigating the incident, and no arrests have been made at this time.
