    Manhattan Manko drops game, now must fight to stay alive at state

    The Manhattan Manko Senior 17’ers will now have to battle thru the losers bracket at the “AAA” American Legion State Tournament, after a 15-7 loss to Pittsburg on Thursday night in the winners bracket semis.  The Manko Senior 17’ers will match up with Salina at 1:00pm on Friday afternoon at Tointon Family Stadium.  The morning game is Leavenworth against Newton, who fell to Hays 8-1 on Thursday night.  Hays will play Pittsburg at 5:00 in the winners’ bracket finals.
