A public hearing for the 2013 Manhattan City budget will be held on Tuesday during the city commission meeting.

The new budgets is proposed to be $120,049, 142, and will include a small  increase in mill levy rates from 2012’s 42 to 43.4.

Manhattan Assistant City Planner Jason Hilgers says the budget includes a 4%  increase in stormawater fees, and discussion on the 2013 Salary Ordinance.  Hilgers says the Manhattan city staff will provide many options for the public and commissioners to consider, but will be asking the commission to implement the 2013 budget as published.

The second item on the Manhattan City commission’s general agenda is discussions for renewal of the sales tax.  The Manhattan City Commission meeting is set for 7pm at the city commission room on Tuesday.
