    A Manhattan man was taken into custody late Wednesday on a failure to appear charge. Tony Kolterman was originally charged with criminal deprivation of property. He remains confined on a $5,000 bond.

    Early Thursday morning around 1:40, Riley County Police responded to Kites bar, located in Aggieville on north 12th street. Kites employee, 35 year old Jonathan Mitton of Manhattan had asked a patron, 23 year old Cade Hutchinson to leave the premise. Hutchinson refused and proceeded to threaten Mitton with a knife.

    Hutichinson was charged with aggravated assault, and remains confined on a $5,000 bond.

    An unknown suspect or suspects broke into a vehicle, parked at the 800th block of Anburg Cir. sometime between Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. and Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. and removed two Visa credit cards. The victim, 64 year old Robert Randell of the 2100 block of Hillview Dr. told police that the cards were taken from his vehicle and not long after, around $5,000 was charged to them from Best Buy and Target.

    The suspects are unknown and the investigation continues.

    A construction company is reporting that over $8,000 worth o

    f steel has been stolen from one of their material storage sites. United Contractors Inc., which is based out of Iowa, reports that sometime between September 20th and October 23rd of this year, 31 steel H pilings worth $8,100 and 2 3’ steel piling caps worth $500 were taken. The storage facility is located of the 5600 block of Ft. Riley Blvd.

    The suspect is unknown, and police are investigating.

    Police told reporters on Thursday that there was a report filed with them at 10:00 Wednesday morning of sexual assault. They report that a thirteen year old girl alleges that she was improperly physically touched by a ten year old boy and a twelve year old boy.

    Police are investigating.
