    Update: Home Invasion at Manhattan Apartment Complex

    Here is the latest on the Home Invasion late Friday night at Chase Manhattan Apartments from the Riley County Police Department: On October 5, 2012 at approximately 11:59 p.m. the Riley County Police Department received a 911 call reporting a home invasion; the caller added a person may have been shot or stabbed.

    Patrol Officers arrived at the scene located at the Chase Manhattan Apartments and learned a suspect disguised in a black mask and hoodie had fled the area. Patrol Officers secured the area and located an injured male who was transported by Riley County Ambulance to Mercy Health Center where he was stabilized and then transported by Life Flight to Via Christi in Wichita Kansas.

    The victim’s name is not released at this time because victim notification has not been made to the family.

    The case is being investigated by the Riley County Investigations Division. Due to the nature of the crime, Riley County Police have no further information regarding the nature of the victim’s injuries at this time.
