A Junction City man tried to lie about who he is, and ended up picking a criminal as his false identity.

Carlton Solton Jr.(27) was arrested during the early morning hours Wednesday in the 500 block of Stone Drive.

Police responded to the residence due to a report of an altercation.  Solton was one of the individuals in the altercation, but when asked who he was, he lied and gave a different name.  The name he gave RCPD showed warrants out for that individual’s arrest.

Solton was arrested for interference with the legal process and false information.  His bond was set at $2,000.

A Herrington man is confined in Riley County due to three different warrants.

Richard Forrest II (27) was arrested around 5:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 400 block of South 4th street here in Manhattan.

Forrest’s records showed three different warrants out of Morris County.  The first warrant was $5,000 and the other two warrants are $500 each, bringing his total bond to $6,000.
