Now former K-State quarterback Daniel Sams will in fact continue his college career in his home state of Louisiana.  Sams told GoPowercat.com that he will transfer to McNeese State, an FCS power in Lake Charles, Louisiana.  He reportedly was told by the Cowboy coaches that he’ll have the chance to compete for the starting quarterback job over the next two seasons.  McNeese State went 10-3 in 2013 and made their third FCS playoff appearance in the last six years.
Sams could make his debut two hours from Manhattan as the Cowboys open the season at Nebraska on Saturday, September 6th.
