Not one, but two Manhattan High baseball players have been named Louisville Slugger All-Americans. Wichita State signee Bret Fehr is a first team All-American as an outfielder, while junior Jesse Steinbring received second team honors.
Fehr led the Tribe with a .446 batting average this spring, with three homers and 21 RBI. He pounded out 29 hits, including six doubles and six triples, and also scored 29 runs. Steinbring went 9-1 with 0.79 ERA this season in 53 innings of work, with 63 strikeouts and just 10 walks.
Fehr and Steinbring join Jake Carlson, Blair DeBord and Kurt Giller as All-Americans from Manhattan High School.
