A Junction City man was arrested by Riley County Police Thursday night on a substantial Geary County warrant. Joshua Dantzler, 28, was arrested while at the Riley County Police Department shortly before 8:30 p.m. on the Geary County warrant for failure to appear. Dantzler’s bond was set at $50,000.

The Geary County Sheriff’s Department report indicates their deputies took Dantzler into custody a couple of hours later for bond violation.

While details of the bond violation have not been released, Dantzler was arrested by Junction City Police in late April on aggravated battery charges, with victims reported to have substantial injuries. JCPD was assisted by the Junction City/Geary County SWAT team in the execution of a search warrant at 48 Riley Manor , with Dantzler and a 17-year-old juvenile arrested for two separate aggravated battery cases.
