Three fire crews worked together Tuesday evening, to extinguish a structure fire in St. Marys.
Pottawatomie County Fire Supervisor, Bruce Brazzle said the golf cart repair business is located at 102 West Bertrand street.
St. Marys, Rossville, and Emmett fire crews responded around 10:30 that evening. Although Brazzle did not have any concrete dollar-loss number, he estimated the damage was around $20,000-$30,000.
Officers from the St. Marys Police Department, the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Department, the Pottawatomie County Fire Supervisor, and the state fire marshall investigated the fire, and found that it was indeed an arson.
No injuries were reported, as the business was empty at the time, and no surrounding buildings were impacted.
