Charles Jones Probable Starter at RB

K-State still hasn’t released a full depth chart for the season opener this Saturday against Stephen F. Austin, but Coach Snyder did reveal his likely starting running back on the Big 12 coaches teleconference.

“We’ll probably start the ballgame with Charles Jones,” Snyder said. “That’s the way it stands right now, but I think all of them will have their opportunities.”

DeMarcus Robinson and Jarvis Leverett are also expected to get carries, and Snyder mentioned that redshirt freshman wide receiver Judah Jones has been working at running back as well.

Jones rushed for 70 yards on 23 carries in the spring game, but doesn’t have any regular season carries.

K-State kicks off Saturday with Stephen F. Austin at 6:10 at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. Pregame on KMAN and KROCK starts at 2:00 with Powercat Gameday live from Cat Town.
