K-State revealed its entire 2019 baseball schedule along with six fall exhibition games to be played at Tointon Family Stadium, first-year head coach Pete Hughes announced Wednesday.

Prior to the start of the 2019 campaign, K-State will host Cowley College (October 4) and Hutchinson Community College (Oct. 19) in fall exhibitions at Tointon Family Stadium. Both games are scheduled to begin at 2 p.m., and are free to the public.

Later in October, the Wildcats will hold their annual Fall World Series, with the opening game set for Thursday, October 25 at 6 p.m. Game 2 of the intrasquad series is Friday, October 26 at 6 p.m., and the series finale will be Sunday, October 28.

Coach Hughes’ squad will host a Halloween ALS Awareness Game on Saturday, October 27 at 6 p.m., at Tointon Family Stadium. The ALS Awareness Game along with the Fall World Series are free for fans.

The Wildcats officially begin their 2019 season on Friday, February 15 with a four-game series at Cal State Northridge before making their way to the Tony Gwynn Classic hosted by San Diego State. While in San Diego, K-State will meet Cal State Fullerton and Utah along with SDSU.

K-State’s home opener is set for Friday, March 1 with a three-game set against San Francisco at Tointon Family Stadium. After a Wednesday night matchup at former Big 12 foe Missouri, the Cats are home for 10 straight games, beginning with a weekend series vs. Old Dominion.

Big 12 play begins in Stillwater against the Oklahoma State Cowboys on Friday, March 22 with the first home conference series set to begin a week later against Texas Tech on Friday, March 29.

The Wildcats will play a total of 29 home games, including matchups with local rivals Nebraska, Omaha and Wichita State along with Big 12 foes Oklahoma, TCU and West Virginia. Other teams scheduled to visit Manhattan include Northern Illinois, UTRGV, Canisius and Texas Southern.

The 2019 slate features 20 games against nine teams that qualified for the NCAA postseason a year ago, including conference rivals Texas and Texas Tech that qualified for the College World Series in 2018.
