    Slick roads blamed for slide offs, including two Pottawatomie County buses

    A number of closures and cancellations continue to pour in as conditions deteriorate across the region. Be sure to check the closings and delays page for an up to date listing.
    Tuesday morning in Riley County, local law enforcement reported freezing rain on slick roads southeast of Keats. In Pottawatomie County a number of slide offs have been reported in the northwestern part of the county near Onaga (Oh-NAY-guh), including two school buses. According to the Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office, no injuries were reported.
    Slick roads will continue as a Winter Weather Advisory is now up for the entire area until 6 a.m. Wednesday.
    As for USD 383 Manhattan-Ogden schools, it is a normal school day but all after school clubs, activities, games and practices have been canceled across the district. Transportation Inclement Weather Stops are in effect for all buses for noon and after school. All
    No after school child care will be provided at Eugene Field and College Hill today, parents are advised to pick up students at the end of the day (3:40 p.m.) After school care at Bergman and Ogden has been cancelled.
