RANDOLPH — The Riley County Police Department is investigating after an unattended death was reported in north Riley County late Monday night.
Shortly after 8:30 p.m., dispatchers were alerted to the Green Randolph Bridge. RCPD says they discovered a deceased individual but their investigation concluded there was no threat to the public and that the incident does not appear to be suspicious. Witness reports online say it appears the incident was a suicide.
The bridge was closed for several hours while police investigated. It has since reopened.
