The following summary of calls for service/reports filed by the Riley County Police Department is a portion of those received by police. Some names, addresses, and case details are withheld to follow local, state, and federal law and in an attempt to protect community members from being victimized further. Those arrested are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

MANHATTAN, KAN. – 

Officers filed a report for criminal damage to property in the 3300 block of Kennsington Court in Manhattan on January 13, 2023, around 12:07 PM. Officers listed a 27-year-old female as the victim when she reported an unknown suspect damaged her 2017 Toyota Corolla. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $2,000. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Officers filed a report for theft in the 300 block of Tuttle Creek Boulevard in Manhattan on January 13, 2023, around 1:28 PM. Officers listed Best Buy as the victim when it was reported two unknown male suspects took Buds 2 Pro Headphones and Magic Wireless Keyboards from the business. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $2,399. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Officers filed a report for theft in the 2000 block of Tuttle Creek Boulevard in Manhattan on January 14, 2023, around 6:58 PM. Officers listed a 26-year-old male as the victim when he reported an unknown suspect took his wallet after dropping it. Officers filed a report for domestic battery, criminal damage to property, and aggravated assault in Manhattan on January 14, 2023, around 8:49 PM. Officers listed a 29-year-old female as the victim and a 29-year-old male as the suspect. Robert Bagget of Manhattan was arrested in connection. Bagget was issued a total bond of $12,000 and is still confined in the Riley County Jail at the time of this report.

Officers filed a report for vehicle burglary in the 1800 block of Laramie Street in Manhattan on January 15, 2023, around 11:50 AM. Officers listed a 20-year-old male as the victim when he reported an unknown suspect entered his Kia Sorento and took a laptop, AirPods pro, Nike Shorts, and a K Swiss backpack. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $1,800. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers. Officers filed a report for theft of mislaid property and criminal use of a financial card at several locations in Manhattan on January 15, 2023, around 1:40 PM. Officers listed a 38-year-old male as the victim when he reported he lost his wallet and an unknown suspect had been using his cards to make purchases. The estimated total loss associated with this case is approximately $713. Anyone with information can contact RCPD or the Manhattan Riley County Crime Stoppers.
