Riley County Commissioners unanimously approved the low bid from Schultz Construction totaling $799,000 for the north Riley County EMS station project.
It’s estimated the project will take about eight months to construct and may take up to 46 weeks for delivery and installation of the backup generator. Commission Chair Kathryn Focke questioned whether that will delay the start of the project. Public Works Director John Ellerman says it won’t.
Commissioner John Ford says he was pleased with the bidding process.
Construction is expected to start sometime later this spring.
