    Stephen Capps

    Stephen Capps, age 77, of Manhattan, died July 4, 2023 at the Good Samaritan Society in Wamego, Kansas.

    He was born in San Francisco, California, on February 10, 1946.  He was preceded in death by his parents, David and OraLee Capps; his sister, Janlyn Kaspari (Bruce) and his sister Sharon Gail Trax (Clifford).

    Steve is survived by his wife of 52 years, Evelyn Capps; his sister-in-law Shirley Williams, of Cottage Grove, Minnesota and brother-in-law, Bob Maner (Jo), of Collinsville, Oklahoma, and sister-in-law, Betty Maner (James), of Manhattan, Kansas; and also, his numerous nieces and nephews, and his great-nieces and great nephews.

    He enjoyed spending time with his family and watch NASCAR and football, especially Patrick Mahomes.  Steve sold swimming pools for many years in Tulsa, Oklahoma then Sacramento, California, and finally in Wichita, Kansas until he retired.

    Services for Steve will be held later in the year in Oklahoma.

    Cards and condolences may be sent to his wife Evelyn, to be added to his memory book.  They may be sent in care of the Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home, 1616 Poyntz Avenue, Manhattan, Kansas 66502.
