Jared Petty, 18, of Manhattan was arrested on August 9, 2023, around 5:30 p.m. for two counts each of burglary and attempted burglary in connection to four June 2, 2023, incidents in the 20 block of Waterway Pl. in Manhattan where approximately $550 and $70 were stolen from two separate cars and attempts were made to break into two additional cars. Petter was also arrested on a Manhattan Municipal Court warrant for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Petty remains confined in the Riley County Jail with a total bond of $12,750.

Justin Everett, 42, of Manhattan was arrested on August 9, 2023, around 7:00 p.m. on a Riley County District Court warrant for probation violation.
